Making Therapy More Accessible
Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is important, but cost and insurance coverage can sometimes make getting started feel complicated. I aim to make the process as transparent as possible so you can understand your options before beginning therapy.
Moss & Clay Therapy currently accepts Health First Colorado (Medicaid Region 4 via Colorado Access) and also offers private-pay options with out-of-network reimbursement support through Mentaya.
Colorado Access (Medicaid)
Moss & Clay Therapy is in-network with Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid), through Colorado Access, Medicaid Region 4. If you have Colorado Access coverage, you may be eligible to receive therapy with little or no out-of-pocket cost, depending on your specific plan and benefits. Insurance coverage can vary, so I recommend confirming your behavioral health benefits and eligibility before beginning services. I'm happy to help you understand what information you'll need to get started!
Private Pay & Out-of-Network Benefits
For clients who are not using insurance, I offer private-pay therapy starting at $180 per 50-minute session. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for a portion of your therapy costs. I use Mentaya to help simplify the out-of-network reimbursement process. Mentaya can check your benefits, estimate your potential reimbursement, and help with submitting claims to your insurance company. Out-of-network reimbursement varies by insurance plan, so reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Sliding Scale & Cost Considerations
I recognize that therapy can be a significant financial commitment. I offer limited sliding-scale payment options based on financial need and current availability. If cost is a concern, you're welcome to bring it up during your consultation. We can talk honestly about your options and whether Moss & Clay Therapy may be financially accessible for you.
What To Expect When You Get Started
Before beginning therapy, we'll review your payment method, insurance information, and any questions you have about the financial side of care. For clients using Medicaid, I'll verify the information needed to determine coverage before services begin. My goal is to make the financial process as straightforward as possible so you can focus your energy on deciding whether therapy feels like the right fit.
