Who I Work With
Children, Teens, & Young Adults
I work primarily with children, teens, and young adults (ages 8-30) as they navigate the challenges of growing, changing, and figuring out who they are. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, make sense of difficult experiences, build self-understanding, and develop tools for moving through life with greater confidence and connection. Whether you're seeking support for your child, your teenager, or yourself, therapy is shaped around the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
What I Can Help With
People come to therapy for many different reasons, and you don't need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what's wrong to reach out. I typically support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-harm, low self-esteem, identity exploration, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and other related challenges. Therapy can also be a space for exploring questions about who you are, what you need, and how you want to move forward. We can begin wherever you are and work together to understand what would feel most helpful.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care
I provide a supportive therapeutic space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions to explore their experiences and well-being. My therapeutic approach recognizes that identity, relationships, and mental health are shaped by social and political contexts. I focus on affirming who you are while also supporting you in navigating challenges, building resilience, and strengthening self-understanding. This can include exploring identity, relationships, gender expression, and ways to cultivate a sense of authenticity, safety, and belonging. Queer and trans existence and joy are celebrated rather than pathologized!
A Different Approach
Therapy doesn't have to look the same for everyone. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and informed by creative, nature-based, play-based, and other experiential practices. Depending on your needs and interests, therapy may incorporate conversation, art, movement, sensory experiences, play, or time outdoors. The goal isn't to fit you into a particular therapeutic model. Instead, we'll explore together what helps you feel more connected to yourself and what supports meaningful change.
How Therapy Works
Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially if you've never worked with a therapist before. We’ll begin by getting to know each other and talking about what brings you in, what you hope to get from therapy, and what feels important to you. From there, we'll work collaboratively to understand your experiences and identify approaches that feel useful and comfortable. Some sessions may involve talking and reflecting, while others may incorporate creative activities, body awareness, play, or other experiential approaches. Therapy isn't about having all the answers—it’s about creating space to explore, understand, and grow at your own pace.
